Take Back the Night

Thursday, October 23, 7:00 pm

UB Student Union Lobby

Join us for the annual program, march, and rally to speak out against partner violence, family violence, and sexual violence. Lend your voice to support survivors! SBI Health Education is proud to have hosted this event at UB for over 25 years!

Some features of this year’s event:



      • March from Student Union to Ellicott Complex

      • Take the Pledge event – Wilkeson Hall Coffee House

      • Student-led open mic and poetry slam – Richmond Lounge (9:30 pm)


  • Individuals, clubs, and other organizations may receive credit for volunteering for this event. For registration, please e-mail or call Jane at 716-829-2584.

World AIDS Day (December)

World AIDS Day is a day to educate students about prevention/risk reduction behaviors, provide free rapid testing so students can know their status, support people living with HIV, and honor those who lost the battle.


V-Day (Spring Semester)

The international campaign to end violence against women and girls, globally and locally. Centerpiece is the production of Eve Ensler’s award-winning play, The Vagina Monologues.

Sex Week (Spring)

Sex Week is a week filled with events & activities intended to educate, inform, start conversation, and promote healthy, positive sexuality to students…whatever that might mean to them!
